If you want to become a better roleplaye the first step would have to be developing your character. Once you develope a character all of their actions will come out naturally. Like one good write said that once you creat the characters the actions come out on their own. What happens? How your character reacts? What they choose to do? It's not really your choice part of it is but it's mostly all your character. You have to really think about what your character would do not what you want to do. Once you create a character they come alive on their own. Below is a few questions that would help you bring your character to life.
The following was taken directly out of my drama text book Theatre; Art in Action.
[li]What kind of family did I come from?
[/li][li]How did I interact with my family while I was growing up?
[/li][li]Was it a well-adjusted home life, or were there many conflicts?
[/li][li]Of what social status and how much wealth did my family have?
[/li][li]How have health issues influenced my life?
[/li][li]How intelligent am I and how much education do I have?
[/li][li]What do I do for a living?
[/li][li]How old am I?
[/li][li]What are my religious or spiritual beliefs?
[/li][li]What kind of clothes do I prefer?
[/li][li]Am I an emotionally expressive person?
[/li][li]In what ways do I express my emotions?
[/li][li]How would I describe myself-am I temperamental? moody? explosive? calm? passive? quiet? withdrawn?
[/li][li]What is my sense of humor like?
[/li][li]What is my best trait? my worst trait?
[/li][li]What is my relationship to the other characters in the play (in this case site)?
[/li][li]How do I treat other characters?[/li][/ul]
[li]Where am I today?
[/li][li]Who is with me?
[/li][li]What am I doing?
[/li][li]What is happening to upset my world?
[/li][li]How does that make me feel?
[/li][li]What do I want to do?
[/li][li]Who or what is preventing me from doing it?
[/li][li]What am I going to do about it?
[/li][li]How am I going to do this?
[/li][li]What do I stand to gain or lose?[/li][/ul][/size]
